Panels and boards
Blown-out lap panels replaced like for like, and individual feather edge boards on closeboard. Where the old style is discontinued we will tell you before we start rather than after. When the panels are past saving we replace the run instead, like this closeboard fence replacement.
Gates
Dropped gates rehung on decent hardware, latches and drop bolts refitted, and the post straightened or replaced if that is what has moved.

How a fence repair is done, step by step
- Send a photo or book a visit. A photograph with the phone call tells us most of what we need, including if your panels can still be matched.
- Make it safe. Loose panels and leaning sections taken down if they are a risk to people, pets or cars.
- Posts. Snapped timber posts dug out and replaced with concrete posts, or a concrete repair spur fitted where the rest of the run is sound.
- Panels and boards. Blown-out panels replaced like for like, and split feather edge boards renewed on closeboard runs.
- Gates. Dropped gates rehung on proper hinges, latches and bolts refitted, and the gate post fixed if that is what has moved.
- Check the rest. The rest of the run checked, with an honest view on whether it is worth repairing or due for replacement.
