How a gutter repair is done, step by step
- Find the fault. We watch where the water goes and look at every joint, bracket and outlet, not just the drip you noticed.
- Clear the run. Moss and silt scooped out first, because a blockage is often the real cause of an overflow.
- Fix the fall. Dropped brackets reset so the gutter runs to the outlet again.
- Joints and sections. Perished seals replaced, and cracked lengths swapped for new ones of the same profile.
- Downpipes. Loose downpipes re-clipped, missing shoes replaced and blocked pipes rodded through.
- Test and photograph. Water run through so you can see it working, with photographs of what was done.

Can you repair just one section?
Yes. Matching a single length of standard uPVC is straightforward and much cheaper than a full replacement.
How fast can you come out?
Usually within a few days, sooner if water is running into the house or down the wall.
Do you seal gutters with mastic?
Only where it is the correct fix. A perished seal should be replaced, not smeared, or you will be calling someone again next winter.
Do you charge a call-out fee for gutter repairs?
No. There is no call-out charge. We look at the gutter, show you what has failed and give you a fixed price before we start.
Can you repair cast iron gutters?
Joints can be resealed and brackets refixed. A cracked cast iron length is usually best replaced, and we match the profile or switch the run to uPVC.
Why does my gutter overflow at one corner?
Usually a blockage at the outlet, a dropped bracket or a corner taking more roof water than the gutter can carry. We find which before fixing it.
