How your free roof inspection works
- Book it. Call 01908 024436 or send the form with your postcode and what you have noticed. There is no call-out charge.
- Inside the loft. Denis checks for daylight, damp, wet insulation, the condition of the felt or membrane and the state of the rafters and battens.
- Outside on the roof. Covering, ridge, hips, verges, valleys, flashings and the chimney, from a ladder, roof ladder or scaffold where one is already up.
- Roofline. Fascias, soffits, gutters and downpipes, because a blocked gutter rots a roof edge faster than a missing tile.
- Photographs and a straight answer. You get photographs of each fault, what is urgent, what can wait, and a fixed written price for anything worth doing.

Is the inspection really free?
Yes, for homes in our area. We would rather look, tell you the truth and be the people you call than charge for a look.
How long does it take?
Usually under an hour for a standard house, longer if we need to trace a leak or get scaffold up for a proper look at a stack.
Will you tell me if I do not need work?
Yes, and it happens often. Plenty of roofs we are called to need a repair, not the new roof somebody else quoted for.
Do you go up on the roof?
Yes, where it is safe. On a steep or high roof without scaffold we inspect from a ladder and roof ladder and say plainly what could not be seen.
Can I get the inspection in writing for a sale?
Yes. You get the photographs and a written note of what we found, which you can pass to a buyer, seller or surveyor.
