Why garage roofs fail
Felt goes brittle, splits at the laps and lifts at the edges. Water then sits on the sagging deck instead of running off, and the ponding finishes the job. Replacing the covering without fixing the falls just buys a couple of years.
What we do
Strip to the deck, replace the boards that have gone, add firrings so there is a proper fall, then bond the new covering down and finish the edges with drip trims into the gutter.
Insulated garage roofs
If the garage is a workshop, a gym or a room now, we can build insulation into the deck at the same time. It costs less to do it while the roof is open than to come back for it.

Common questions
How much is a new garage roof?
It depends on the size and whether the decking has gone. We measure, tell you what the deck is like and give you a fixed written figure.
Can you do it without taking the old one off?
We do not recommend it. Covering wet, sagging boards traps the problem and the new covering follows the old shape, including the puddle.
Do you replace asbestos garage roofs?
Not the asbestos itself, that needs a licensed contractor. We will point you at one and take on the new covering once it has gone.
