EPDM flat roofs in Aylesbury
Aylesbury has a lot of flat roofs: rear extensions on the post-war houses at Bedgrove, Southcourt and Quarrendon, garages across the town and dormers on the bungalows out towards Bierton and Weston Turville. We replace failed felt with EPDM rubber roofing laid in one sheet over new decking, with the fall built back in so the water goes to the gutter. If the roof only needs patching, see our flat roof repairs page.
Roof leaks found at the source
A roof leak in Aylesbury gets the same treatment as one in Milton Keynes. We go into the loft, trace the water back to where it gets in and fix that point, whether it is a cracked tile, a failed valley or a flashing that has pulled away. Our roof leak repairs page sets out how we do it.
Emergency roof repairs
When water is coming through the ceiling, call 01908 024436. Our emergency roof repairs make the roof safe and stop the water first, then we come back and price the permanent repair once the weather has passed.

Aylesbury sits in the flat, open Vale of Aylesbury, with the Chilterns rising to the south. Wind crosses the vale with little in the way, so flat roof edges and trims lift and felt laps open up. Clay ground holds water after rain, and flat roofs on extensions that were laid without enough fall end up with water sitting on them for days.
How we work in Aylesbury
Aylesbury is around 40 minutes from our base, and the inspection is still free with no call-out charge. Flat roof jobs here are planned around a dry window, because EPDM and GRP both need a dry deck, and we tell you the day before whether the forecast holds.

Roofing questions from Aylesbury
Do you fit EPDM flat roofs in Aylesbury?
Yes. We strip the old covering, replace soft decking, build in a fall and lay EPDM rubber in one sheet.
Can you come out to an emergency roof leak in Aylesbury?
Call 01908 024436. We make the roof safe and stop the water, then do the permanent repair once the weather allows.
Is there a call-out charge for Aylesbury?
No. The roof inspection is free and there is no call-out charge.
Why does water sit on my Aylesbury extension roof?
The deck has sagged or the roof was laid without enough fall. We replace soft boards, add firrings to put the fall back and re-cover in EPDM. See our flat roof repairs page.
