Posts are the job
A fence fails at the post, not the panel. We use concrete posts and gravel boards on most runs, or set timber posts in concrete where the look matters, so the whole line does not come down in the first serious wind.
What we fit
Composite panels for a maintenance-free finish, closeboard for strength, standard lap panels where budget matters, and horizontal slatted where the garden is the room. Gates to match, hung on hardware that will still shut in five years.
Ground and levels
Sloping gardens get stepped or raked properly. Where old concrete or roots are in the way we dig them out rather than shuffling the line across, because a fence one foot inside the boundary causes arguments later.

Which fence lasts longest?
Composite on concrete posts, with nothing to rot or paint. Closeboard on concrete posts is the best value in timber.
Whose fence is it?
Check your deeds for the T marks. If it is shared, we will fit to the boundary line and leave you the photographs for the neighbour.
Can you fit a fence in winter?
Yes. Wet ground actually digs easier. We only stop for a frozen dig or high wind with panels.
